The Journal of “Turkology” Got Impact Factor Status

The Journal of “Turkology” that was founded by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (NASA) achieved its international success again in October this year. The journal got Impact Factor Status by Scholar Article Journal Index (S A J I). The aim of “Turkology” which is considered to be one of the most reputable and authoritative journals of Turkic world is to publish Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and English papers concerning history and actual problems of the science of Turkology, as well as, languages , literary and cultural richness of Turkic peoples and modern condition of Turkic languages. Having strengthened its relationships with international scientific centers in recent years, the Journal of “Turkology” got Impact Factor Status in October this year by SAJI indexing organization and preliminarily it was evaluated with SAJI’s 1.765 indexing points.

In different times this journal was headed by distinguished scientists, such as, M. Shiraliyev, E.R.Tenishev, A.Akhundov and T.Hajiyev who did their best for it. Today by the requirements of globalization epoch the scientific space of the journal needs to be expanded furthermore. And it can’t be limited within the frame of the materials referring only Turkological linguistics and folklore. Besides Turkological linguistics, its readers are eager to see in it materials on ethnography, philosophy, history, literature, culture studies as well.
